A trust layer for trade between people who have never met

Tranchio is building the trust layer and financial operating system for global trade. The first piece of it is narrow and concrete: milestone payouts for manufacturing orders, so a buyer and a seller who have no history together can do business anyway.

The problem is the first order

A seller will not cut tooling on a promise, and a buyer will not send thirty percent of six figures to a company they found at a trade show. Both positions are correct. That is what makes it a deadlock rather than a negotiation, and it is resolved today by whichever side has less to lose. Usually that is the buyer, who pays a deposit and hopes.

Committing once and releasing in tranches answers it structurally. The buyer commits the whole order up front, so the seller knows the order is real before starting. Each tranche is released only against evidence, so the buyer keeps everything not yet earned. Neither side is asked to trust the other, which is the only version of this that works on a first order.

Why the mission is bigger than the product

Milestone payouts are the wedge. The destination is larger. The reason a first order is hard is that nothing in cross-border trade carries proof with it: the purchase order is an email, the inspection is a PDF, the payment is a wire that leaves no trace of what it was for. Every subsequent problem starts from the same missing record, whether it is financing, disputes, reconciliation or insurance.

So the product builds the record as a side effect of doing the thing people already need done. Milestones, evidence, hashes, an audit trail both parties can export. What that record makes possible later is a longer answer; that it has to exist first is not in doubt.

How the company is arranged

Tranchio is a software platform, run from Hong Kong, closest to the Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong–Shenzhen) corridor. That is where the questions this product answers were first asked of us in person.

Tranchio is a software platform, not a lender or a bank, and it never holds your money. It structures an order into tranches and records the release of each one on the buyer's approval. Moving the funds is a licensed payment provider's job, which goes live at launch; none is engaged today. It does not lend against an order. How that is enforced is worth reading before you rely on it.

What Tranchio will not become

Tranchio is a payments platform, and it stays one. It does not lend, is not a bank, does not touch crypto, and is not a marketplace. It will never introduce you to a seller or take a position on which one you should use.

Each of those would change what the company is. A platform that lends against an order has an interest in that order proceeding, and a platform that also finds you the seller is not a neutral party when the two of you disagree. The value of a referee is entirely in not caring who wins.

Where we stand

  • Launching in Hong Kong. The first customers are onboarded personally by the founders, and every order runs with the people who built the platform on hand. References follow the first orders, not before.
  • Payments will run on a licensed provider. None is engaged yet, and no funds move through Tranchio today; the provider is named on this site once the agreement is signed, not before, so that what we publish is a relationship rather than an intention.
  • Security is built in, not certified yet. Hashing on receipt, an audit trail both parties read, and four-eyes approval are live today; an independent penetration test and certification are scheduled for the first year of operation.
  • Access is by invitation. Every company is onboarded deliberately, with its verification completed before it can trade. That is a choice about who we grow with, and it is the reason the first orders go well.
